1 Play Sports Signs Landmark Pact with Singapore Sports Council to Transform Local Sports

Singapore’s prime community sports production & streaming start-up, 1 Play Sports Pte. Ltd., has embarked a 5-year sponsorship journey, starting February 2020, with Singapore Sports Council (SportSG).

SportSG and 1 Play Sports have entered a 5-year collaboration to raise donations and sponsorship for promoting local sports and events in Singapore. This alliance is an extension of both the parties’ ongoing commitment to nurture and boost community sports. They have joined hands to widen and deepen the community’s interest, viewership, and engagement in local sports and athletes through Live and On-Demand streaming of Singapore’s sports competitions.

During this term, SportSG will license 1 Play Sports to stream and distribute the feed of local sports events, such as ActiveSG and SportSG, to all its platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Facebook Live, Singtel Mio TV, YouTube, and YouTube Live. 1 Play Sports is delighted to produce sports events to be held by SportSG in Singapore during this period. In turn 1 Play Sports will work closely with SportSG to raise revenue to develop local sports.

Out of their dedication to the cause and confidence in a positive outcome of this association, 1 Play Sports will provide SportSG live production, surround content videos including previews, highlights, and feature videos and stories on local athletes during the term of this contract.

“The donations and sponsorships, to be raised through monetizing the community sports content from Singapore, will be ploughed back to further advancing the local sports events. Such investment will result in expanding production and streaming, viewership, and community’s interest, establishing stronger ties between corporate and community sports federations, creating greater sporting opportunities, and developing advanced competencies” said Mohit Lalvani, CEO of 1 Play Sports, as he expressed his enthusiasm for the journey ahead.
